NRB regularly designs a range of opinion surveys other than Communitrak™, which typically deal with specific issues of relevance to a particular Regional, District or City Council.

Such research has encompassed the following issues:

• Communication strategy
• Spending priorities
• Waste management
• Water and waste water
• Parks and recreation
• Water and air pollution
• Transportation matters
• Housing and subdivision preferences
• Satisfaction with service provision
• Examining strategic and annual planning
• Development and upgrading of facilities (e.g. libraries, cultural facilities, public toilets) etc.

NRB also conducts focus group discussions and referenda, when these methods are appropriate.
